Campaign Story
A mother is someone who is literally able to give her life for her children, and as a son I want to give her the happiness she deserves.
My mother, CIELO RAMIREZ was diagnosed with
cancer almost 6 years ago, and during all this time we have been fighting this disease
but over time the disease has spread and other diseases have emerged as a
result of the treatments and the cancer itself.
We are from the city of Cali in Colombia, although we have never had abundant money my mother, despite being a single mother, gave me everything I needed including a great education. About 6 years ago I was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Japan for my postgraduate studies, one of the things that has made my mother really happy, although at the same time it was very hard because we had to separate (literally a world away).
Shortly after being separated my mother was
diagnosed with cancer, as she had no job or pension (which she still does not
receive) I helped her with her medical expenses while my stepfather helped with
the household expenses. During this time I used practically all of my
scholarship money and what I was able to do from part-time jobs, however with
the increase in treatments, surgeries and medications it was impossible for me
to continue with this. So far I have been able to help her because I am very
fortunate to have friends who have helped me, but right now I feel the need to
open this fundraiser to help my mom.
Although life is not easy and many problems afflict me on a daily basis, all I ask is that you would please help my mother to fight this disease and that someday we can hug each other again.
* Re-opened
I must thank all those who have collaborated with donations or by sharing this campaign.
At this moment I am reopening this campaign because in spite of your collaboration and the efforts I have made to help my mother, she is still in need of several surgeries since her liver has been compromised.
Although we live in a world that has more problems day by day and that needs our collaboration to have a future, I ask you again for a collaboration for my mother, and so that she can have a future too.
