Thank you for your support to Baby Kenichi!
Hi All,
My name is Ferdianto Louren. Me and my wife are Indonesians whose baby has complex heart problem and has to undertake three times of surgery to save this little angel.
1st surgery: TAPVD (fix the blood flow from heart to lung)
2nd surgery: BCPC
3rd surgery: Fontan
The first surgery will be done this Friday, 25 November 2016 in KK Hospital Singapore, with an estimated cost of SGD 150,000 for 3 times surgery.
Here is a short story for kind soul like you who are willing to spare little of your time to read and help us.
---The Little "Smurf"---
When we were in primary school, there is a metaphor in Indonesia called: blue blood. It refers to someone who was born within royal / noble family. It's a pride to be born within a "blue blood" family. Your status is considered higher than any other lay people.
However, it's not the case for baby Kenichi. The pride is not there to be called as a "blue blood", because he really has a real blue body.
Yes, it's not because of the metaphor but rather due to his heart problem since he was conceived.
Kenichi was born at 8th September 2016, after 38 weeks inside his mom's womb by cesarian, with 3.31 kg weight and 50cm length.
His full name is Kenichi Wayne Louren. Now he is 2.5 months old.
After consulting to doctors in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, he was diagnosed to have complex heart anomaly. (I'm not sure how to say in formal English, among those that I can spell are right isomerism, avsd, dorv, and tapvd. There are somemore terms that I could not remember exactly).
Doctors in Harapan Kita Hospital, which is the biggest Heart Specialist Hospital and has the most complete equipment in Indonesia have give up because their technology is not advance enough and suggest to do the surgery in overseas.
Doctors in Malaysia give 50% survival chance for the surgery. While doctors in Singapore give higher survival chance of 90% and a hope to cure him. This really brings us a light to our almost vanished hope for his life..
We decided to fight for his life.
I'm currently an employee in one of Indonesian bank thus baby Kenichi case is a huge emotional and financial hit for our family. With your kind help to spare some prayer for successful surgery and some dollars to cover the medial expense, we hope that we can save this little angel's life. We thank you in advance and hope that your good deed will come back to you someday.
