Please help my family buy a vandalised house for renovation to avoid homelessness

We are a family of 3 at the moment, it consists of me (49) my Mother (68) and my brother (37).

My brother has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia since 2001. He currently is getting a disability grant. My Mother is a widow and gets a widows pension. (She is a victim of the large scale theft of pension funds and corruption at the state owned Transnet. The court case is currently still ongoing and is the biggest legal action case in South Africa's history. It has been going on since 2003. Anyone can research this on google. Transnet class action pensioners.

Until recently she was getting state medication for her depression & anxiety as a result of her husband/our father's murder in 1988. It was stopped due to corruption and we now have to pay for it ourselves for the last 3 years.

My brother has also been getting chronic medication from the state hospital since 2001. We found out yesterday that they intend to stop that medication as well. It is very expensive ($80pm) That is what has forced me to start this campaign as the cost of this will force us into poverty.

We are a very proud family and have struggled for many years but always got by, This latest news is the factor that has led to me asking for help.

There are many more people who need help all over the world, but I have to at least try for the sake of my family.

About This Project

Our current home is a rental that we as family consisting of 3 people can just afford. We have been living here for the last 4 years. It has just been put on the market for sale and we will have to move soon, the next cheapest option is going to be too much for us to afford at the moment.

After a long time looking for a cheap alternative I have found a very cheap vandalized house that is for sale. The full purchase price currently is $7543.00.

It will need new wiring (a friend will help with that cost) and a lot of renovation to get it to a livable standard. This we can do ourselves as we get a small amount of money each month from my Mothers widows pension ( $260) and my brothers disability grant. ($110) I do odd jobs online and make about $100-$160 per month. Our current rental is $180pm.

Your donation will assist us in purchasing this house and once bought it will alleviate the monthly cost of rental.

Despite our efforts to secure a small home, my age and self employed status will not let me get a home loan (MORTGAGE) or personal loan.
