My father was diagnosed with end stage renal disease on 1987. He was only 21 years old when he contracted the kidney disease which impaired his physical capacities and capabilities especially in the future. Fortunately, He had undergone a successful kidney transplant donated by his brother. By that time, he lived a normal life and pursued his career and met my mother.

During the course of their marriage, they were confronted with a horrible news that my father is diagnosed with chronic rejection, which states that his donated kidney is rejected by his own body and is rather progressive and thus, its demise is irreversible. The doctor claimed that the maximum longevity of his kidney is within 5 years. As to delay the collapse of his kidneys, the doctor issued an increased dosage of anti rejection pills which then exposes my father to a wide array of diseases such as meningitis, pneumonia, tubercolosis (of the prostate) and other conditions that he valiantly endured. Unfortunately, his kidney inevitably collapsed on 2006 and had to undergo a second transplant that was donated by his cousin. It was successful but he needs to further increase his anti rejection dosage to lower his immune system. It was truly a financial burden that my mother received. As the source of income becomes insufficient to the needs of the family especially father’s lifetime maintenance, she decided to work overseas to search for greener pastures. It was a sacrifice that the family needs in order to sustain the growing demands of father’s worsening condition. Last 2017, he suffered from shingles and 2 episodes of heart attack which took a toll on his kidney. His second transplant kidney collapsed and was complied to undergo dialysis thrice a week ever since. It was truly an excruciating experience for my father and both me and my mother for he already experienced too much pain in his life. Last week he was rushed to the hospital, as he had difficulty in breathing which was later discovered that he had approximately 1.5 liters of water in his lungs. Yet further study showed that his lungs suffered from internal bleeding and is currently under observation.

My mother couldn’t afford the expenses and lately she is very stressful and exhausted from all the monetary demands, procedures and also for my upcoming enrolment this June. I made this so I can be of help and it will mean a lot if all of you could participate in our cause .
How I wish to see my father live even just to see me in my graduation as I know it will make him proud. I am aware that he suffered a lot and I wish to be able to give him a sense of success in me by extending his life a little bit more, if not at least i want him to be comfortable and pain free.
