Campaign Story
Just yesterday, February 21, 2021, my dog, Campion, was doing just fine, playing around with his toy, until suddenly he couldn't move one of his back legs. At the time, I thought he just got a cramp, so I decided to sooth his leg while laying him down on his bed, thinking he would soon be able to stand up again. However, as the time went by, he ended up not having the ability to move his body, only his head. I found this out the next day, which is today, February 22, and frantically, with the great concern and anxiousness I had, drove to the emergency center for pets. There, the doctors told me that he has a paralysis in his body, and that without an operation that could help him move again, he would no longer be able to even stand up and have movement. I'm just a maintenance guy working at a building that receives low payment, and the surgery cost $8,000, something that I cannot achieve alone. We adopted him on November 20, 2016, and he is now 4 years old. It breaks my heart deeply to see my dog suffer and not having sufficient funds to pay for his surgery. It doesn't matter the amount you donate to this fund, I just want this opportunity so that my dog would be okay again. Dogs are part of our family as well, and during the years we grow a strong, loving bond between them. Losing them is a painful feeling, so please, if you can, donate so we can reach this goal. Thank you so much if you do.
