Let us together Help “Thean” get his leg

Thank you for visiting this campaign and your interest in helping Thean.

I'm Pastor Keong. I'm a pastor of a church(my church is based in KL). I'm here today helping a young man named Thean Kuok Foong to ask You, Help Him get his prosthetic leg.Im just gonna call him Thean from now. I believe you and I together can make this possible for Thean as he couldn’t afford it. (prosthetic leg)

(How did I know Thean?)

It all started when Thean messaged me on Facebook Messenger (he was asking churches for help) and pleaded with me to assist him.I visited Thean a couple of times and spoke to him in person.He was in tears when I agreed to Help him raise funds,He doesn’t have anyone to care for him.

(This is Thean)

Thean have always been on his own for many years and He was a very independent person.He enjoyed cooking and very passionate about food.He was working as a kitchen helper.He likes cooking so much that He would always volunteered to cook for his former coworkers and He was very eager to learn new recipes and always finding ways to improve his cooking but unfortunately his kitchen life ended since his amputation.Thean would really like to be back in the kitchen cooking again.

THEAN was in a bike accident which led to his amputation in July 2022. His injury (left knee became septic(a life-threatening infection)and had to be amputated.

And even after what has happened to Him, Thean doesn’t give up. He is strong,very passionate about food and He wants to continue to pursue his goal(to be a chef one day).

(Why do Thean need a prosthetic leg?)

Thean is on crutches and because of his restricted mobility,no one would hire him to work again, despite his best effort to get a job for the past 2 months and having a prosthetic leg would help him get back in the kitchen again.Thean have no one to help or support him and since His amputation,His life got a lot harder and face all kinds of challenges from doing simple task,like,cleaning his room, to getting a job.Im here asking you today to show your kindness and compassion to Thean,which He haven’t had in a long time, and You can be the Help He need in this challenging time.

(Why should you and I help Thean?)

Im a 58 year old and a Father to 2 daughters.when i looked at Thean ,I believe he can do so much with his life.Thean is only 29 years old. He still has a long way ahead of him, and God knows what he can achieve in life.I believe that you and I together can help Thean live his life again.I humbly ask you, let us together take part and help Thean through this difficult time. He just needs your help to get back on his feet.

(Where will the funds go?)

I (pastor keong) have contacted this prosthesis shop and this is the cheapest above knee prosthetic leg.I will accompany Thean to get his prosthetic leg but He need your support .I will also update you about Thean wellbeing.

Thean told me that he will send his own designed thank you card ( I have seen it)to each of you as a way of expressing his appreciation for your help during this difficult time.On behalf of Thean, I would like to say thank you for helping this young man.
