Hello My Name Is Darren And I'm 27.

What The Funds Will Be Used For: Stuff To Help With My Worsening Disability And To Help Me Get Out And About.

What Does This Campaign Mean To Me Well,

Over The Last Few Years I Have Been Suffering With A Serious Back Pain Which Effects My Whole Entire Body Frame As In Shoulders, Neck, Spine, Hips And Legs Which Has Got Worse As. I Will Go Into More Details To Explain What Is Wrong.

It All Started December 2014, At First It Just Started Off As What I Thought Was To Be A Pulled Muscle In Both My Shoulder And Lower Back So Went To The Doctors To Get It Checked Out He Sent Me To See A Spinal Consultant, Which Then Led To An X-Ray Turned Out To Be 5 Slipped Disc Which Has Resulted In Permanant Nerve Damage, The Parts Of My Spine That Has Been Effected Is C2,C4 Which Has Effects On How I Live On A Day To Day Basis, Which Effects My Day To Day Living, From Not Being Able To Get In Or Out Of Bed Without Help Or Even Simply Trying To Get Dressed So Basically I Am Being Looked After Every Single Day By My Partner And I Would Like To Relief Some Of That Strain On My Her

Also On Top Of That I Have 3 In My Lumber L1 L2 L4, Which Effects My Walking Capabilites Which Is Virtually Non Existence Now.

So At This Point I Had To Deal With Not Being Able To Anything And As A Special Bonus A Whole Load Of Pain That Feels Horrendous And Never Ending.

Doctors Won't Operate Because And This Is Their Words, Sorry We Wont Operate Because You Are Too Young And To Operate On Where We Would Have To In Order To Correct All Of This, We Could End Up Doing More Damage Then What Has Already Been Done Oh And You Will Have This For The Rest Of Your Life...

So After That As I Wasnt Going To Give In Yet I Asked If I Could Tried Physiotherapy, They Turned Me Away As They Couldnt Do Anything.

I Have Had TPI (Trigger Point Injections) Which Was Designed To Reduce Or Relieve The Pain Which Had Little Effect.

So At The Moment I Am Under A Pain Management Consultant Who Helping Me Come To Terms With All Of This And What I Can Do To Make My Life Just That Little Bit Easier.

SO.. If I Can Atleast Get Help To Try And Make My Day To Day Living It Will Take A Huge Weight Off Me And My Family Shoulders As It Hasnt Been Easy On Them At All

The Main Reason I Am Doing This Campaign Is,

1: To Help Me And My Family Out By Making My Day To Day Living That Much Better By Getting Equipment To Help Me Not Only To Be More Mobile Around The House But Also Being Able To Go Out With My Family Also Being Able To Get Myself A Specialized Bed Which Will Enable Me To Get A Good Night Sleep So I Aint As Crankey As I Am Now Due To Not Being Able To Sleep Due To Being Uncomfortable All The Time.

2: Any Spare Money We Have Goes On Me And Using Taxi's To Get To Appointments Which Is Not Cheap As I Have Appointments That Can Be Anything Upto 30 Miles Away

Mobility Scooter (So I Am Able To Go Out For Walks With Family Or Going Doctors ect..): £750

Wheelchair ( So I Can Use Public Transport To Go To Appoinments And Places Where Mobility Scooters Can't Instead Of Using Taxi's All The Time ): £150

Chair With Back Support ( To Help Take Relive Pressure When I Am Sitting ): £250-£400

A Specialzed Pillow ( For When Out And About To Take With Me For When Going Places, To Offer Support To Lower Back And Hips ): £50

Walking Support ( Walking Support For Around The House ) £75

Shower Chair: £75

And Other Bits And Pieces To Help On Day To Day Stuff Around The House
