Please help me to heal performers!!

Hello there everyone, friends, family, new friends......

Who I am?:

My name is Alex and I am a dancer, fitness professional and dance scientist.  Currently I work with dancers in the field of injury prevention, teaching them to be aware of their bodies and becoming fit and healthy athletes who look after themselves and train specifially for the purpose of their style of dance and what choreography is required of them.  I currently teach in a few seperate capacities including indiviual dance companies and universities. 

So what's the problem?:

Well, those of you who have experience in the dance and performance world know only too well the perils of pushing your body for your art! Injury is almost inevitable for physical performers and not all of that can be prevented.  Seeking help from professional is expensive with waiting lines and often performers miss out on opportunities due to injury which can have a devistating effect on their potential careers.

Injuries are not always career changing and often they are a result of overuse or fatigue that can often be remedied with techniques in massage and the dancer having more awareness over their bodies. 

So, what's the plan?:

I currently have the skills to help performers in the prevention of their possible injuries although I am missing the last part.  What if they could see a masseuse who had first hand experience of being a dancer and is a qualified dance scientist, conducting research in the area of performance enhancement and injury of dancers. 

I need help getting the last part of my puzzle, a diploma in sport and remedial massage from 'The London School of Sport and Remedial Massage'.  I have so far funded all of my past studies and I just do not have the means to fund the entire course.  I am however working my butt off this summer to get the initial payments and first 3rd paid for!!

This qualification will enable me to treat performers for initial/precursors to injury to enable them to gain insight into more fundamental aspects of their physiology in order to help them understand their bodies and the best ways they can train them. 

Please help me to raise £2,500 for the remaining cost of this course and you will recieve many rewards in return!! Just have a look and if you like them then go ahead and contribute.  Unfortunately the rewards are mainly restricted to London, Northampton and Bedford areas!
