I passed my matric in 2007, and life has never been so difficult.

I was struggling to find work, not that there weren't opportunities, but I did not have the required skills for those oppotunities. So in July 2017 I decided to drive for Taxify and give good service in order to create a good impression and get myself noticed by the CEOs and Managers who ride with Taxify everyday.
To cut a long story short, I was blessed with an opportunity by a company called Neutrinos, as an intern on the 20 Nevember 2017, and I was trained to become a software engineer. As of now I am proud to say that after a 1 year program I am a software engineer building web applications for one of the biggest insurance companies in South Africa.
I have always wanted to empower my community, but I didn't know how. So after being employed by Neutrinos, I had to move to the city (Randburg). I left my community in the same poverty situation they have been facing for years.
I have decided to give back by sharing what I have learnt, to some of the unemployed youth back at home (Boksburg, South Africa), teach them software development skills and open a business centre where we can do administration work for corporates, and also build websites for those in need. I believe in the saying "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime"...
Currently I have 3 students, but I am struggling to teach them because I am working full time, and right now I can't afford a lecturer for them.
What we need to get this initiative off the ground are the following:
  • Internet connectivity
  • Additional hardware (laptops)
  • Capacity to teach after hours

I would like to increase the number of students to 5, so that after the course we can split them into two groups; 3 to build projects for clients and 2 to lecture the next batch of students. And we would like to double the number of students each year for a couple of years.
