We all get miracles in our lives and I got mine 4 years ago when my first child was born. I was like any other happy parent, loving and enjoying my little baby, watching her grow up. 2 years ago, we started noticing the little things which showed us she was very different from other kids her age. On taking her to see a doctor, we were given the diagnosis that our Daughter was on the autism spectrum.
She could not go to a normal childcare like other kids her age, she needs extensive speech and occupational therapy. As my Daughter is a foreigner here in Singapore, we do not enjoy any government subsidies or even get a place in the local EPIC centres. Private therapy centres are costly and I cannot even work because I need to spend every second that I have with my daughter to unlock the prison that she’s in, the little bubble which she hides in because the outside world is so different for her.
However, I strongly believe that if God gives me an autistic Daughter, He will also provide the means to take care of her. I have started this fundraiser as a platform for anyone who is willing to donate any small amount that you can to help create a future for my Daughter so that like any other young girl of her age, she can laugh and talk and communicate and survive in our society and give back to this world that she was brought into.
