Dear Sir/Madam

I can give many reasons to motivate my application for a bursary or funding from your organization but the most important one is that I am passionate about what I am studying.

My name is Munyaradzi Mangoro and I am a male of Zimbabwean origin currently living and studying here in South Africa. I am married to Maria and we have a daughter, Karmia who is 5 years old .I was born in a family of nine children and I am the first child to attend an institution of higher learning and the only sibling who is living outside our country of origin.

I am currently studying towards a BA in English and Media Studies at the University of KwaZulu Natal having been enrolled in June 2016. I am experiencing some financial constraints to continue with my studies. I was paying for my own fees with the backing of my wife and family but because of the worsening financial and political situation in Zimbabwe, they can no longer afford to support me financially. Currently we are surviving on my wife’s meager salary of R2000 a month hence I am kindly asking for financial support from you to pursue my studies so that I can enhance my chances of fending and providing for my family. I owe the university an amount of R9886 from the previous semester and they cannot register me for this semester until this is cleared.

This program I am studying will give me exposure to know cultures, believes and thoughts of nations and nationalities. It will give me a chance to be an international professional and be familiar with modern technology. Studying will also help me to be financially independent and to give my daughter and family a desirable and better future. I would like to use my studies as a tool teach, develop and motivate other children from disadvantaged backgrounds, be it in my home country or anywhere in the world. I would also like to use my Media skills to objectively report and write on issues that are not being properly addressed by our current Media institutions. I will be glad if you can assist me in any way possible so that I can realize my dream.
