My name is Alyssa-Jean (a.k.a. Ajaay) and I am fundraising to get to South Africa this May as part of the 2014 Indoor Netball World Cup. It was an absolute honour to be selected for the 2014 New Zealand Under 21s Womens team in March of this year. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for me, and it would be a dream come true to be able to take part and represent. Due to time restrictions and limited funds, I am reaching out to family and friends and hoping you can help me get there.
For those that know me... Indoor Netball has been apart of my life since as long as I can remember, my parents and also my aunties and uncles have played as well. I first started playing Indoor Netball Superleague at the age of 12 and have played every year since then. For the past three years I have been apart of teams that have won national titles. In 2012 Under 19s Mixed (Inzone), 2013 Under 19s Mixed (Manukau) and also this year for Under 21s Mixed (Inzone). At nationals this year I was also awarded the MVP award for the Under 21s Mixed Grade which was a massive achievement for myself and I owe it to the coaches I have had in the past, the teams I have been in, and also all the players that have played before me whom i have looked up to for many years.
Any contribution big or small would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so much for all your help and support in getting me to South Africa.
Take Care and God Bless.
