I’m 63 and disabled so my income is limited. I was diagnosed diabetic in 2014 and since then my teeth have steadily been getting bad. Fortunately I have dental insurance but it has a yearly max of 2,000.00 and only pays a percentage of the bill. My dentist has tried to save my teeth but it’s to the point now I need to have all of them removed. I have so many missing or broken that I’m in constant pain and eating has become a real challenge. Being diabetic the proper diet is important but now my food choices are even more limited because I can’t properly chew anymore.
I saw the oral surgeon recently and after my examination the estimate was 9,489.00 and after insurance estimate I would have to pay on the day of surgery 5,546.00 out of my pocket. This is only for the surgery and does not allow for the cost of dentures.
I’ve applied for help from care credit but was declined. Any help would be greatly appreciated
