Last Saturday, 18 August 2018, on the way to the vet to collect bird food for the parrots in my sanctuary and with two parrots in the car, my car came to a standstill. The oil sump gasket broke and the car engine seized.
I live on the West Coast on one of the Cape Farms which is very far from anywhere. I started walking down the road with one parrot on my shoulder and the other one in his cage clutched in my arms. Luckily I got a lift from one of my neighbours and got home safely!
It is going to cost R15 000.00 to fix it. I desperately need to get my car going again as I work full time as well as running the Parrot Sanctuary which is a registered NPO. My salary goes towards petrol to get to work and to feeding my parrots and other animals. (I do get donations from some wonderful sponsors, but that money is for the parrots).
My facebook page is The Parrot Sanctuary Za and my website is www.parrotsza.wixsite.com/parrotsza
Any amount will be greatly appreciated and you will not just be helping me but my parrots as well!
