Dear readers!
My best friend Zara was recently diagnosed with an infectious disease called FIP.

Zara is very special to me, she it11 years old and my family had her since we were children and she was a tiny adorable kitten. Zara is our therapy cat, very friendly, docile and loves to snuggle and purr all the time. I consider ger a gift from God and a family member. 10 years is not a lot for a cat, I really don't want to put her down.

FIP is caused by feline coronavirus and causes inflammation of abdominal organs, brain and eyes, fluid in abdomen, heart and lungs and in the end, death. If not treated FIP IS 100% FATAL.

There is a treatment for FIP, a medicine called GS-441524, but it is not approved for animal use so owners like me have to order it over the internet. One bottle costs around 60$, contains 5ml and concentration of 16mg/ml. Treatment lasts for at least 84 days, with the dose she needs to receive (8mg/kg daily) I will need to buy 32 bottles total. That amounts to 1920$. She also needs to have blood work checked every 2 weeks, which I will pay for myself.

Usually I've been able to afford her vet bills, but I'm a student so it is not possible for me to work full time. Before coronavirus epidemic I worked in a cafe/restaurant part time and due to lockdown that is not possible anymore. Already I have started to sell some old textbooks, clothes and other household items so I can collect some money for treatment. That's why I'm asking people for help, any donation is very welcome and I will be immensely grateful for your help. I will post regular updates with photos of Zara and photos of veterinary test results as well.

Update - the treatment needs to be prolonged, but I'm still quite optimistic!

Dear viewers and contributors, I have decided to revive the campaign following a less-than-ideal recovery process we have been through. Initially I never shared the campaign or asked anyone for money because I felt ashamed to do so, especially considering an earthquake hit Croatia 4 months before and many people. . . . .
