Jack is an affectionate one eyed male kitty who was abandoned with his little brother at my colony 8 months ago, when he was only 3 months old. His left eye was in bad condition and had to be removed. He was operated back then and had a normal life until 3 weeks ago, when I realized that his right eye was going blind also. On top of that, he had cat flu.
Jack stayed at the vets for 12 days. They made all the necessary tests and he was (still is) on cortisone treatment for his eye, after the opthalmologist's instructions. He has been diagnosed with eye infectious peritonitis, but we don't know the cause of it. The vet suspects FIP or lymphoma but cannot confirm at this point. Although we still hope that he will get his sight back, unfortunately the chances are very low.
I managed to find a short-term foster home and finally get him out of the vet's cage a few days ago. He is still on treatment and he needs to find an indoor forever home the soonest, as I cannot release him back at the colony. He will not survive there. He has therefore also been prepared for EU/UK adoption, just in case that a forever home is found for him abroad.
Unavoidably, all these resulted to high vet bills (photo attached) that I cannot afford at the moment. Will you please help me keep Jack safe?? There will be more vet bills to be paid soon due to his medical condition. Even the smallest contribution will make a difference!
Thank you so much for your support in this struggle.
