Soon I will be travelling to Fiji to spend 4 weeks volunteering in a primary school on Yanuya island off the West coast. The island only has about 800 inhabitants, many of whom have never even seen a car! I will be volunteering through an Australian organisation called Involvement Volunteers International who have been sending teachers to Yanuya school for many years.
As many of you will know, I (used to) have very long hair, however I have CUT IT OFF in aid of my trip to Fiji. I am giving the hair to the Little Princess Trust, but I would like to take this opportunity to do some fundraising with your help too! I would be really grateful for any donations you could make in aid of the children of Namamanuca Primary School. The money will go towards buying school supplies for them.
There are many items that the school needs, but I am going to be taking some basic stationary supplies out with me, such as pencils, pens, rulers etc., and then when I am there I will put together a list of stationary they need the most. The money I raise here will then be used to buy as many supplies for them as I can.
Please consider donating - no matter how small the amount, it will definitely make a difference to these children and their education!
Thank you so much!
