Please help Max the community cat 😺🐾

Max is a senior Boon Lay community cat. 😺🐾 Recently, he was found to have lost a lot of weight and was sent to Vets for Pets on 16 December.

He was diagnosed to have heart problem and end stage kidney failure. He is also severely anemic due to his kidney failure. He was hospitalised at Vets for Pets for 6 days and on the 7th day, he had difficulty in breathing. As Vets for Pets does not have 24-hour facility, Max was being transferred to Mount Pleasant Animal Clinic at Jalan Gelenggang.

He was in the ICU for 3 days because he needs oxygen to help him breathe. Currently he is in the normal ward. However, as he is severely anemic, he needs blood transfusion any time if his blood count drops further.

Max can only be discharged when his blood count and kidney values are more stable. After his discharge, he will go to a cat boarding place for palliative care.

Max is a strong and brave boy and he has a strong will to live. Although he has multiple health issues, he is still very active and playful. He gets excited and happy with cat teaser toys. He also likes to be patted and talked to.

As at todate (29 December), Max has incurred a total of $3,919.26 ($746.50 for his 6-days hospitalisation stay at Vets for Pets and $3,172.76 at Mount Pleasant Animal Clinic). Please refer to attached bills.

On the day of Max's admission to Mount Pleasant Animal Clinic, I was told to put a deposit of $800. Please see receipt attached. Today the clinic requested me to put another $2000 which I cannot afford. I am a community cat feeder taking care of the many cats in my neighbourhood. I am also housing and looking after many rescued community cats (old ones, abandoned ones, handicapped ones, cancer stricken ones). I really have much financial difficulty to pay for Max's hefty medical bills. I am feeling so stressful over the piling medical bills and also worried about Max's condition.
