Please help keep the old people in Zimbabwe safe!!

Just before Christmas an Old Age Home was broken into AGAIN !!! The only entertainment that the old folks had (their TV and little stereo) was stolen yet again. The fridges and freezers were broken into and all the meat and food was stolen.These were replaced but this highlighted a huge problematic area in Zimbabwe with our old folk. Old people are gems that are to be respected and taken care of.

Old age homes try and take great care of our old people in all possible ways and we try and provide a safe and healthy environment for them to live in and to help them live a good life in their final years. Old age home centers are having a difficult time keeping up with providing all facilities and maintenance.

Everyone wants to feel safe and secure in their own home, and seniors are no exception. Unfortunately the old people are becoming easy targets and only have us to rely on. Being burglarised is a traumatic experience for anyone, but our seniors are left feeling especially vulnerable after their home has been violated by a break-in. The economy in Zimbabwe at the moment is diabolical. Therefore they can only rely on us, the public, community and care givers to help them stay safe.

We would like to help a couple of old age homes , as many as we can buy putting up electric gates and sponsoring security guards so these oldies don’t have to unlock a gate, becoming exposed to being an easy target and there is someone patrolling at night to make sure they are safe.
