Please help John Paolo – Survive TB Meningitis

Hello to everyone.

I hope that you're all healthy and well. Just want to ask for your help para sa half-brother ko na si John Paolo Trinidad, he is only 23 years old, who is currently admitted in Makati Medical Hospital, again, and is in the Intensive Care Unit. We first rushed him to the nearest hospital (emergency room) where he can use his health card on January 19, 2021 because he complained that his head hurts badly and the fact he cannot move properly and speak properly by that time. Although he had been complaining about it days before and we went to two other medical facilities, he was advised to take some medication for "vertigo" , but now, we found out that he's suffering from TB Meningitis (a form of meningitis characterized by inflammation of the membranes (meninges) around the brain or spinal cord). I check what that is on the internet and cannot believe what I just read. Aside from TB Meningitis on his right side of the brain, he's left side of the brain is getting a lot of water pressure, which is causing him so much pain. On his first admission, he was in the hospital from January 19 - February 04, 2021, 16 days in total. His Neuro doctor said that he can go home by that time because his body is responding great to medicines. He needs to continue those medications for a whole year. However, today February 19, 2021, he is back here in the hospital because his sodium became very low, he's very weak, he's disoriented again, he cannot remember his name, he doesn't recognize our mother or any of us. He cannot speak properly again. According to the ER doctors it is related to TB meningitis and his brain is swollen again, there's a lot of pressure again on his brain. His kidney is affected, his liver is also affected now. We will be needing your help. The rate in the ICU per day is 138,000PHP and we don't know yet how long he will need to stay there. Unfortunately, his health card had been maxed out during his first confinement and was actually not enough to cover his total bill before which was around 600,000PHP. The owner of the company where he works helped him cover some of the bills by asking Maxicare to increase Paolo's card limit. Which was a big help for us by that time and we are grateful to his boss. But, now it's happening again. We are not sure what will happen to him, doctors are already telling our mother to "be ready" telling us that chances of survival is really low. I am humbly asking for your help both financially and spiritually, please pray for my brother John Paolo Trinidad. Any amount will be a great help for my brother. Thank you all for taking time reading this campaign I made for him.

Update today February 22, 2021

He was put in the isolation room and the nurses need to tie his hands on the bed. Still disoriented and he's complaining that his head hurts so much. We are still waiting for the CT scan result. Swab test confirmed that he's negative from COVID which is good.

Update February 27, 2021

So sorry if I only updated after 5 days. My brother is still being closely monitored by his doctors and has was not allowed to drink water to prevent him from vomitting. He also undergone full abdomen ultrasound and the doctors confirmed that his liver and kidneys are both okay. He's already back to his medicines for meningitis. We are hopeful. Although he's still getting hallucinations. But we are very hopeful.
