Please help Joe Harris walk again!

Never in a million years did I think I would have a need to start a funding campaign. Never did I think that Joe would get hurt doing the very thing he loves most and what he is best at.

On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, while rapping up a metal roof job, it started raining, Joe slid down from a 2 story roof landing directly on his ankles crushing them. He is in bad condition and is expected to be unable to walk for at least 6 -7 months... He is now home, trying to get comfortable and get some rest before he under goes his surgery Tuesday morning, He has a long road ahead of him and a lot of decisions to make financially. He has been a wonderful provider and father for our family and now I'm not sure what we will do.

Because we don't know what exactly the outcome of his surgery will be, we have absolutely no way of knowing how long this road will be. In the meantime, I am his caregiver, so I don't know how I will provide for us too, He is on heavy pain meds to allow him to function as much as possible, he can't walk or take care of his basic needs. The family is in no way prepared for the financial weight of this situation. We do know, however, that we want the best for him, rather than get overwhelmed by the financial burden that will weigh on the family.

For anyone that knows Joe, you know what an amazing person he is! He is kind, smart, a hard worker, a loving son, a loyal friend, and a great Father to his mini me "Joe Joe". This makes it very hard to understand the "why him?". But sometimes it's not for us to ask why, the Lord has his reasons and I hope that he comes away from a even stronger, more loving and a more humble man.

Willyou please help us support him in this fight, so he can someday fulfill his dreams? Will you please come alongside the family as they try to pick up all the pieces and fill all the gaps? His parents are such hard workers, but are in no way able to handle the financial burden that will come along with this battle.

Most importantly, we would ask for your prayers! This is a very scary time of unknowns for all of us! Please pray for peace, direction, and comfort for Joe and I as we are facing the unknown. Pray for the family and his friends to have strength to do all that will need to be done through this battle. Pray for the doctors to have the wisdom and clarity needed to determine how to best get him through this and on the road to recovery. I see God's hands in this situation and am holding onto hope because of that!
