Please Help Haitian doctor finish his training

Jacques Muller Pierre is a rare commodity in Haiti--a native-born medical student desperately trying to finish his studies and return to his homeland to help his people.  The first to be helped will be his mother, a nurse/teacher now with no income who has been living in a tiny tent ever since the Haiti earthquake.  This earthquake buried Jacques himself under the rubble of the house of a dear humanitarian friend. With his leg pinned, he looked on helpless as Madame's sister perished. After three excruciating days Jacques was finally able to free himself and escape, something he considers a true miracle.  

Our doctor-to-be is thirty years old, a man of great faith and an extremely able and excellent student whom we have lately been able to aid financially by the month while he has studied at Santo Domingo, D.R. When he was given the opportunity to go to Paris, France, early this month (Sept. 2013) to do his practical work in a psychiatric hospital and continue to learn, he understood he would not be liable for his room and tuition, just for transportation, food and sundries. Jacques quickly learned how very expensive it is to live in Paris, and current income would cover barely half of it.  He needs just $2800 to finish out his eight months there.

We would all be so grateful for any financial help for this young doctor-in-training, that nothing may stand in the way of his completing what he feels is his destiny:  to use his medical knowledge to help his people in Haiti.
