I am starting a store in a remote town in Leyte, Philippines (formerly devastated by super typhoon Haiyan and currently, just this July 2017, devastated by a magnitude 6.5 earthquake), where I came from.
I have always dreamed of having this business because this will greatly help my people because they have no access to the daily things they need like rice, feeds for their animals and groceries. Oftentimes, they have to travel to considerable distances just to be able to have one, and usually, it is sold to them at a high price.
My goal is to have this store near them at a much lower cost.
I am knocking in your doors because this people need help. They have not fully recovered from the wrath of Super Typhoon Haiyan and just this July 2017, a strong 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit us again destroying some of our homes and properties as well us farmlands.
Right now, I am already starting to build the said store with the name J29Eleven. However, I am lacking funds because I also have to rebuild our properties that have been damaged. On top of that, because of the massive destruction Haiyan brought, we can no longer cut trees. If we need lumber, it is sold at a very very high price.
I am by the way an Accounting Teacher in the biggest Business and Law college in the place - Saint Paul School of Professional Studies. I also do part-time teaching in the only international school in the place - Bethel International School.
I cannot give you items in exchange for your donations because we are so far from you. The only thing I can do in exchange is to thank you and give you a space to engrave your names in a space provided in-front of the store as our beloved donors (somewhat similar to "The Hall of Fame" thing). This is to always remind everyone as to who are the benevolent persons behind the project that will help us a lot.
We really need your help to make this project a reality.
Thank you so much in advance.
