Please help fund an urgent and essential paediatric assessment for my son

My 13 year old kiddo is in urgent need of a multi-disciplinary assessment from a specialist team.I need to raise £1,500 in order for him to see the highly recommended Dr Jo Jones MBBS BSc Hons MRCP FRCPCH.She is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician with a national reputation in helping children with complex needs, such as autistic spectrum disorder. It is well known and accepted that an early diagnosis for children with social communication needs is the key to success in life.My son has not benefitted from that early diagnosis, despite me trying extremely hard to get it for him since 2011. My delightful, intelligent boy has been overwhelmed by the challenges he has faced, without support, for the past few years. He has been unable to attend school, has been set back in his education and has suffered unnecessarily due to lack of access to the correct help.

As we have been unable to get a timely and thorough assessment locally I now have no option but to pay for a private assessment.(I myself have ME and fibromyalgia so there is no other way for me to get the money other than to ask others to help.)

If my boy doesn’t get the diagnosis he needs quickly he may miss yet another school year and continue in limbo without the support he deserves and is entitled to.He already has the extra pressure of living with a mum who is ill, and he just wants to get on with his life like his friends and other young teenagers: - with a proper assessment and diagnosis he will be finally able to do this.
