Help for homeless & abandoned dogs of Turkey !

Niğde is a town in central Turkey where dogs have very little chance of survival, they are constantly being dumped to isolated areas where there are few people and there is no food for them! Many dogs are being poisoned there by unknown people. This past month, 20 puppies were found crying on their mother's bodies after the mother dogs were stoned to death. The pups were taken to a municipality shelter and they all died there of Parvo!! For all these devastating reasons, I am struggling to help as many dogs as possible in Niğde.

WHY WE TRY TO HOME THEM ABROAD ?Many people in Turkey love dogs and regularly feed dogs in their area however few people would consider bringing one to their home, it’s just not a common thing. We as animal volunteers, desperately try each and every day to find homes however it’s like finding a tiny gold piece in a big bag of rice, most of the time there is nothing and we have to leave them back to streets with risk of danger, illness and hunger 😰 Most people especially the well-off ones buy puppies for their kids at the begining of summer holidays and dump them by the shores when they leave to the cities winter houses. Very few people would adopt from shelters or adult dogs. We struggle to help for the most miserable dogs however in Turkey finding a foster is very very difficult, knowing they will have great homes in Eu countries or USA, the only solution is to keep them in private boardings till they fly out. For all those reasons, please support for making Turkish stray dogs to match with wonderful families who has lots of love to give to them !! You can also SPONSOR for a DOG.

Can you help by making a donation for these dogs that otherwise have no chance for surviving?

Your contribution will allow me to buy dog food (15kg of dog food is 18 usd)

Neuter as many as we can afford so the cycle of more homeless dogs decreases (neutering of a female dog costs 50 usd)

Offer emergency operations for those that need immediate treatment, most are dumped at municipality shelters where they will die.

Sometimes I receive offers of help from rescues. In order to send dogs to them, I need to pay the transport costs from Niğde to Istanbul or to Fethiye so they will be under their care.

When there is no current home or foster option, but the dog has a chance of being rehomed in the future, we use private boardings( 100 usd/month)

So far, with support of rescues such as Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, Above and Beyond Setter Rescue, Homebound Houndz, etc, I‘ve been able to rehome dogs to the UK, US (San Francisco, New York, Miami, etc) as well as Germany and Canada. It’s so amazing to see the transformation in their lives!
