Please help Electra fight his rare cancer

Hi everyone! My name is Tessa Yadawaputri, and I am here trying to raise some funds for my brother's medical treatment!

Last August 2020, my brother Electra Yadawaputra was diagnosed with Thymic Carcinoma stage 4 and it is a very rare cancer disease.

Though the prognosis is bad and we try to ignore anything about the survival rate, we are immediately going to chemotherapy, we believe no matter what he could get better. I and my brother is super duper close, he is the father figure for me since I was born without having one. The chemo hasn’t been easy on him and it’s really hard for me to hear him crying in pain…

After going through 8 chemotherapy from September 2020 to April 2021, the massive tumor on his chest is decreasing a lot, and from 8 spots of cancer, it decreased to 4. But we can conclude that after going through 7 months of chemo, it couldn’t eliminate the cancer, so therefore we are going through another new cycle of chemo.

We consult to Singaporean doctor after we got the second PET SCANNED, and they are recommending this medicine called immunotherapy, they said it has significantly proven to improve the survival rate of rare cancer like Thymic Carcinoma, enables them to live normally, and doesn’t have side effect as dangerous as chemo.

But the new medicine is really expensive in Indonesia, it can cause 10.000 dollars/shot/month and we need to do it for 24 months. Since we can’t afford it we were stuck to the lower option of chemo that was so much cheaper but the side effect was ended up too strong it made my brother collapsed a month ago and put him into critical condition.

I have been the backbone of the family since I was 23 years old and unfortunately, enough my brother doesn’t have any insurance. Up to last April 2021, the chemo and hospital services have cost me almost 55.000$, I paid most of it with the business profit and also a bit from local fundraising. None of my family (mother, stepfather, and obviously my brother now) are working beside me. I can’t live without my brother, I won’t ever give up no matter what. I had always trying to fight this alone, besides running a business, I’m taking as many freelancer jobs as possible and find as many as possible source of income.

The number was, unfortunately, spiking into one which I can no longer afford by myself. So I’m here reaching out to those who have a spare to help. The amount that I need for the new medicine will be up to 300.000$. This will mean a lot for me and my family, all the donations will be used for my brother’s treatment and medicine. Even only a prayer or a share of this info is meant a lot at this point. Once again, thank you for reading this, and I hope God will give back what you guys are donating to me dozens of time.
