Please help Chewy run again

Hello, everyone! This is Chewy. We are asking for help because he needs a surgery ASAP to fix his leg from a vehicular accident.

A short background on Chewy: we adopted him just February this year when we found his owner attempting to leave him near the woods. Sadly, his owner doesn't want him because he wasn't a purebred Belgian Malinois so my parents instantly decided to adopt and raise him. He's a good boy: playful, energetic, and really loves to run. Although he also loves to bite, he has never bitten anyone, just his toys. We all love him and what happened to him deeply saddened us.

Just this Friday, April 16, Chewy escaped from our property and was struck by a car. The driver never stopped and sped off. Fortunately, we got the license number and reported this to the police. However, Chewy, on the other hand, was hurt pretty bad. He was bleeding and needed stitches. We brought him to the ER after the accident and he managed to survive overnight but the vet told us that he is suffering from a fracture on his right leg. He needs surgery ASAP or he will be amputated. The estimated cost for his surgery is around $1,900. Unfortunately, we spent our funds for his emergency vet bill. It will be difficult for us to pay fully for his surgery.

Chewy is dearly loved. It's hard for us to see him in this condition, it'll be worse to never see him run again. We are hoping that there are individuals willing to help for his surgery. Any assistance will be very much appreciated! Thank you for your support, we will keep you posted.
