Buster was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer yesterday (21st Oct 2014). He has a tumour on the inside of his groin, samples were taken by Kinfauns in Clacton and then sent to Dick White's in Newmarket. Buster has now been referred to Dick White's for scans and investigations for treatment.
The first appointment and scan will cost approx £1120. Buster is insured but his insurance was renewed on 13th October for a higher amount with a different company, unfortunately they do not cover any illness found within 14days of the policy start date. I am gutted and heart broken.
Anyone who knows me will know that Buster is my world. I rescued him from London when he was 2 years old and just recovered from being hit by a bus. He is a strong dog and has so much life in him, I know that he will beat this if he is given the chance.
I'm absolutely livid with myself for not taking him after the 14 days from the policy cover, but I didn't realise that this would be the outcome and the sooner he is treated the better his chances are.
He is not ready to go yet and I'm not ready to let him go. If anyone can help us with any amount (even just £1) then there is hope for Buster. I have tried every other avenue and have been in tears all day and night over this. I have called his referring vets (Kinfauns) and asked for their advice, they are aware of my situation and are aiming to get back to me on Friday with any suggestions or an idea of total costs for all avenues of treatment.
I have taken in many animals for people who can't look after them and I have always helped animal charities, so please if anyone can help, then it would mean the world to us.
Love Kristy and Buster xxx
