Campaign Story
[PLEASE HELP BRING MAMA JOSIE HOME - Medical Repatriation]
Dear friends and family, brethren,
Blessed Christmas and Season's greetings.
We would like to knock on your generous hearts to please help us bring our Mama Josefina Pudino Palma-Enguero, fondly called "Mama Josie"/"Mama Pining", back home to the Philippines.
Mama Josie suffered a brain aneurysm while at work as a care-giver in Rome, Italy, in late October 2017. She had to undergo immediate surgery to avoid fatal blood clots from forming in her brain and was confined in the ICU for a few months. Fortunately, after several treatments, her body has responded well, even at the advanced age of 66. Mama was transferred to the hospital's Therapy Unit early this year, 2018. Although, she is still unable to communicate verbally and has impaired movement, Mama's blood results have normalised and is a positive sign that she's well on her way to recovery.
Just a few days before Christmas(Dec. 22, 2018), we received the good news (from the Philippine Embassy in Rome) that Mama Josie will soon be cleared for MEDICAL REPATRIATION from Italy, and soon will be able to come home to her family in the Philippines. The estimated cost for medical repatriation, given that she will be in a stretcher and will need a nurse to accompany her throughout the trip, will be around $51,401 or PHP2,600,000.
Throughout this ordeal, the family, having insufficient finances and inadequate means to travel to Italy and personally care for her, requested the help of the Philippine Embassy in Rome to assist with her needs until such a time that Mama Josie will be cleared for travel by the hospital. Mama's close friends have kindly made regular visits to care for her as well. We are grateful for all the kind and compassionate individuals who reached out and cared for Mama, most especially her doctors and nurses at San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital(Rome), the Italian Government, and the Philippine Embassy as well as the Filipino Community in Rome, Italy. We also would like to thank our friends and family who included Mama Josie in their intercessory prayers for her healing and recovery.
This GoGetFunding page was created to raise funds in order to augment or cover the costs for Mama Josie's medical repatriation and medical care. We urgently wish to raise the funds as soon as possible (or within 3 months). We are grateful for any amount you are able to kindly share for this purpose.

May God bless you and reward your generosity a hundred-fold.
Yours sincerely,
