My daughter Amira was born last November 11, 2018 with a gestational age of 33 weeks (7 weeks preterm.) She was confined in Neonatal ICU because she had a low birth weight, and was discharged last November 21, 2018.

After a month, we rushed her back to the hospital because she was gasping for air due to hypoglycemia. Her blood glucose dropped to 13mg/dL (normal blood glucose for infants is 40-60mg/dL) Her heart rate also dropped causing her blood pressure also to drop. We almost lost her; she was declared baby blue, fortunately she was revived. We really didn't think of how much we will pay in the hospital, we just focused in my daughter's recovery. After 3 days, finance department gave us a letter demanding 70,000 pesos so that they can continue giving meds and doing laboratory tests to Amira. Since we don't have that much money, we were not able to pay for what they are demanding. We are still paying for our debts which we used to pay for our hospital bill last year (300,000 pesos.)

After a few days, they noticed that Amira's head got big, so they requested for CT Scan. The results showed that Amira had Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy secondary to Cerebral Edema. Thank God her pedia started giving her antibiotics even before they knew about her condition. They have also suspected that Amira has Bacterial Meningitis. The next day, Amira has shown some seziure episodes, her neurologist started giving her Leviteracitam (anti-convulsant). Amira got better after 10 days of being confined, thanks to her nurses and her doctors. And the next 4 days, they told me that my daughter may go home. The problem is, we have money to pay partially for the bill, but the finance department won't let us go home unless we have paid 70% of her bill. Her final bill as of yesterday was 178,000 pesos (her total bill was 275,000 pesos, we have already paid for the 98,000 little by little.)

We could've brought her home if only finance department let us issue a promissory note with co-makers. But they won't.

We are asking from your humble hearts to please help us bring her home. Any amount will be truly appreciated.
