Please help in pursuing my passion of Photography and Filmmaking

Hi everyone,

I am creating this fundraiser to ask for help to continue the passion for film-making and photography.

Story:

My name is Rohit Singh. Born in India and currently working in Dubai.

Like most of us, I had a passion which I always wanted to pursue and do what I love for a living. My passion was creating movies and transforming my imagination, moments, stories into reality. Although I was committed to it, my parents supported me on one condition: for me to complete my education (Engineering in Information Technology) and then to pursue whatever I wanted. And they were right because I am where I am because of that. I completed my education and was ready to pursue a career that I loved in terms of making movies and taking photos and gaining more knowledge about it.

But due to a tragic event in my family all the priorities changed. I had to take responsibility of my family suddenly and concentrate on earning, ensure that I take care of my parents and my younger brother. From then onwards, my core focus was directed on my job with other part time jobs to make sure I earned enough to support them and repay the debt that was accumulated due to the incident.

Since the last 7 years, I have been working hard on multiple jobs and managed look after my family. From backing up my brother in providing him with the chance to do what he aspires, to taking care of my family with the best of my ability. All the earnings went in supporting my family and nothing was left for my dreams. I locked my dreams of being a filmmaker and photographer!

But now I have this unsettling urge to reopen that door and work on my dreams! I want to start again. Start the journey that I left before and show people that it’s never too late to do what you love. And I cannot do this without your help.

I started taking pics and small videos to learn more about photography and film making from YouTube and met people who are already good at it.

Now I want to prove that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. I want to show you all that instead of giving up I decided to ask for a little help from you all.

I am trying to create series of videos showing my journey, from working a day job to support my family out of the financial crisis and still nurturing my dream. And it’s not just about me. I want to showcase people with talent and embark on a search for them. I want to be able to give them a platform of showing it to the world. I want to show how there are hidden diamonds stuck in day to night jobs wishing to pursue their dreams.

For this, I plan on starting a web series on YouTube channel by creating videos of talented people around me and their stories as a journey with you all in to prove it’s never too late.

I need you help to buy the suitable gears for photography and film-making including cameras, Three point lighting kit, Tripod stand, Lenses: Wide Angle, Clear "Protective" Lens, Polarizer, Zoom Lens, Macros, etc. for startup.
