Single mum Amy (22) and her adorable 4yr old daughter desperately need some help. Somehow they fall through all the gaps in the benefits system. They're currently forced to live on handouts from friends, her family have drug problems and are disfunctional and even THEY steal from her. Her ex-partner is in and out of prison and is unable to offer any support. Amy has medical problems and can't work and her daughter has behavioural problems, making it very difficult to find babysitters. She is in constant debt to loan sharks who have now taken everything she had of value, including her daughter's few possesions. They constantly threaten violence and she is desperate to be rehoused after they broke her door down.

Amy is a sweet and kind person and a wonderful mother but feels a failure in that she can't even keep a roof over her daughter's head. They've occasionaly had to sleep on the streets, being too scared to return to their flat, and she has often felt suicidal, seeing no way out of her present predicament. A little help would enable her to clear her debts and to make a fresh start. I'm trying to help sort her benefits out - a system which I've never had to have anything to do with and seems not to be fit for purpose.

I can assure you that any funds donated will not be wasted. Amy doesn't smoke or take drugs, and rarely drinks. She's not my responsibility, I'm just a friend, but I've helped her as much as I'm able up to now.She has NOTHING in her life. It's a struggle for her find enough to feed her child and ANY help will be received with immence gratitude.
