Playing4Paws

Hi, my name is Chris Ouellette. I'm a small business owner in Scottsdale, Arizona. This campaign is about bringing two of my personal passions together, animals & music! Playing4Paws will be a non-profit organization modeled after the existing non-profit Playing For Change that inspired my vision - https://youtu.be/oiPzU75P9FA. We will bring together local musicians and animal lovers in an effort to raise awareness & adoption rates for rescue/shelter animals. 

The number of dogs and cats euthanized each year is estimated to be 3–4 million. An estimated 2.7 million healthy shelter pets are not adopted each year, and only about 30 percent of pets in homes come from shelters or rescues.

I will use the funds to incorporate in the state of Arizona, file for federal 501(c)(3) tax exempt status, launch the Playing4Paws.com website (with an all natural eco-friendly pet toy store) and to start putting together local events in the Phoenix market - I'm envisioning events at restaurants with dog friendly patios, dog parks, adoption locations just to name a few.
