Playground Lesedi Waldorf School

Lesedi Waldorf School is very close to my heart - why? It all started when I lived in South Africa and I had been looking to support a childs education. I did not want to just donate money but rather be in touch with the family and witness that child growing up. In 2017, with the help of my amazing leader back in the day - I met the principal of Lesedi Waldorf school, Sylvester. Sylvester told me that lots of parents cannot effort school fees anymore and that at the moment a 3 year old girl called Phenyo would need someone to pay her fees so she can keep learning at Lesedi Waldorf School.

Ever since I have been visiting Phenyo, her family and the school on a regular base. It always lightens up my heart to observe teachers, aunties and volunteers engage with all those over 200 kids and try their very best to prepare those kids until grade 7 for the world out there. Every time, I get so much love, smiles, questions and positive energy out of Lesedi, that it has been my place to go. During my last visit, Sylvester told me that Lesedis playground is over 15 years old, cannot really be used to play anymore as it gets quite fragile but the school does not have enough money to buy a new playground. The reason why this playground is so important for the children, is because Lesedi is also a boarding school which means on weekends and in the afternoon after school, there is not much to play with. I told him, that I do not have enough resources to pay for it myself but I will try my very best to raise enough money to be able to make a new playground possible. This is where we are now and I appreciate every small donation possible.
