Short description of the project.

Plastic waste recycling is a worldwide movement of thousands of people united for the sole purpose of promoting plastic recycling. These are hundreds of workshops around the world where volunteers turn unwanted plastic waste into something new and useful. It can be anything from jewelry to benches in parks.

The problem the project is aimed at.

The plastic waste recycling project was launched by Dave Hackens at 2013. He wanted to show clearly what can be made of used plastic. He created a workshop in which he used used plastic from the population, ground it and with the help of thermal presses and extruders, he did different things - pots, phone cases, vases, tables and chairs, various tableware, coasters and other decor items.

Today, thousands of people have taken his case, creating similar ones workshops began to popularize this movement in their cities. Such workshops interact with residents very effectively of their cities - they are handed plastic to schools, office centers and come to them every day a huge number of people.

Our community activists are engaged in a number of projects aimed at promotion and development waste management culture among urban and rural residents and we are sure that a project like Precious Plastic is able to activate the public in matters sorting waste.

The proposed solution

This workshop will pursue two goals. The first is a demonstration, its activity will be directed to the production of oversized plastic products (supports, decorations, paintings, various oversized decorative elements, etc.). Each resident of the city will be able to hand over their plastic to the workshop, visit other areas of the environmental center.

The second purpose of her work will be the production of large plastic products (tables, chairs, decor elements, benches, etc.). The proceeds from the sale of workshop products will be used to provide and support the environmental center as a whole.

We plan to involve students and students in the workshop of precious plastics to realize their ideas, to organize cooperation with other social projects in the city and the country.
