Plane Ticket to Africa

Hi, my names Melissa! I am 17 years old, and my family and I are from the Democratic Republic of Congo. My mom was only 19 when she came here by herself with only her student visa, that later came to expire and became homeless for a period of time. She started from zero and eventually met my dad who helped her out and brought her out of poverty, and even helped her bring her 7 siblings and her mother. But they were unable to bring my grandfather. My mother is now almost 40 years old and has not seen her father since she’s boarded the plane with her student visa, almost 21 years. My father, along with her family are trying to plan a trip and take her to see him, but it is very expensive for my mother to pay for herself along with my four other siblings. My goal is to try and raise money to help contribute to the tripand surprise her, so I could help her out and take off some other burden because she and everyone else are very much stressed out.
