Plamnina Foundation was founded by teachers and its main goals include fostering learning, building relationships, creating a mindset for growth and proactive behavior, building relationships, cultivating love, appreciation, and responsibility towards nature in students coming from lower-income families.
The main activities of the foundation are summer camps based on experiential learning set in natural and mountain environments that include trained and inspiring educators in different fields and would facilitate the accomplishment of the aforementioned goals.
Our main priority is to engage and include youth coming from backgrounds that will not usually present them with the opportunity of participating in such camps. In our practice as teachers we have seen that students coming from families with low income, uneducated parents or from underdeveloped regions often underperform at school due to these social factors. We believe that participation in such camps will be crucial for heightening social, learning and emotional skills, self-confidence and motivation.
We are raising money in order to provide the best and most meaningful summer camps for students who cannot afford its cost. All collected funds will go for accommodation, transportation, food, equipment and materials for the students during the camp.
