PIU PIU, a psycho-surrealist short film

Following the success of her previous Kickstarter campaign for the award winning film “And Nothing Happened”, about the aftermath of sexual assault director Naima-Ramos Chapman is proud to announce her second short film, PIU PIU, a psycho-surrealist thriller that explores one woman’s complicated relationship to routinized violence, romance, self and alienation.

FROM ME TO YOU:

PIU PIU is at once, deeply personal and very necessary. I made this film in contemplation of a fundamental question: Are we, as women, only to endure or evade the routinized machinations of patriarchy and domination politics, or is there another state of resistance that can guarantee a sustainable sense of freedom, as well as spiritual, physical and sexual freedom? I hope you’ll help me to bring this film to life, so we can explore this question together.
