Pitch in for the new EMMA speakers

Social centre Emma is asking for YOUR help to buy new speakers and sound system! We have expanded our spaces and now we need to upgrade the sound too!

Social centre Emma is running for sixth year now as a free community centre in Kaunas, Lithuania. All of the events are either free of charge or donation based. This social space has been a hub for many social, cultural and political initiatives.

We are asking for financial support as we are not able to save up from regular donations - the rent has doubled since last year and we struggle to save additional money. We would love to host more experimental and alternative music concerts, however, every time arranging the sound system, borrowing the speakers from somewhere else takes a lot of time and energy.

The speakers that we are looking for costs 500 euros each, additional 200 euros would be spent on wires and other sound appliances for the space. We put a bit extra to cover the taxes that we will need to pay for these money. The speakers will be used not only in Emma, but also for other events, such as Sapfo festival, Kombinatas festival or other friendly collectives in the city.
