Pisco Movember Fundraising for NCSM

Pisco's Movember is our biggest fundraiser to spark conversations, create awareness and raise funds in a non-serious manner for prostate cancer and with the proceeds going directly to the National Cancer Society Malaysia - an initiative that we've put in place since 2013.

The Movember journey begins in 1^st November 2016 by kick-start the campaign with SHAVE OFF event at Gentlemen’s Tonic, Publika. On this day we gather our ambassadors such as Alex Yoong (former F1 driver), Ash Nair (Actor), Sha'arin Razali Wong, Joseph Ryan with a few other names to participate on shaving off the moustache/beard and start growing it back throughout the whole month to show the support on this campaign.

The goals of this event are simple – to create a campaign promoting the cause among like-minded people and have fun along the way, and participating in selling the raffle tickets and attending the final event, which is the Movember Party 2016 at Pisco Bar, and all the proceeds go to The NCSM.

This year, other than all the support from all the ambassadors, Pisco Bar is selling raffle tickets for RM20 during the month of November with the support of sponsors such as from Gentlemen’s Tonic, Bubble Gum Wax, Josh Lee Perfume, Sothys, Zalora, Toni & Guy, Frangipani Langkawi Hotel, Traders Hotel, Grab Car, Parkson (Acca Kappa, MOR, Model’s Own & Eva Garden, Harnn & Mades and Scent Maker & Qiriniess), with a few other sponsors that generous enough to sponsors all the prizes.

The final event, Movember Party 2016 will be held on the 24^th November 2016, Thursday, starting at 9pm. The events includes performances, auction, lucky draws from the raffles tickets and Best Moustache contest.

Movember is about bringing the moustache back; it is about having fun for a very serious cause – men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer, as well as depression.

Movember’s main goal is to leave a lasting, global impression on the state of men’s health. We will be acknowledged as the catalyst that changed the way males think about, discuss and treat their own health issues.
