Hello my name is Bea, earlier this summer i was lucky enough to visit the girls a Pippi house.
Pippi house is a safe house for girls at risk in Arusha, Tanzania. they are providing safe accomadation, food and education for the girls who have been victims of, work trafficing, rape, abuse, neglect, unplanned pregnacy, homelessness, extreme poverty or forced marriage. they have 22 year old now attending primary school level education, they are serious about their work and work very hard. Truly inpirational young women with the potenital to go far and become role models for their "sister" at Pippi, showing that education is a a sustainable way for leaving poverty.
However we are struggling, recently due to the kindness of volunteers and other donations we were able to pay off the debts to the landlord, now he is asking for three months worth of rent ($200 a month, so $600) if we cannot get this money the girls at Pippi will have to move from the house they have all settled into. Our aim is to reach £400 (english pounds) if we can do this we can save Pippi house from closure.
