Pippa...From the moment I saw her face on the web site, I fell in love.  Since she has come into our home she has been my shadow, my sidekick, and just more then I could ever ask for. She's been saved from death row and when she arrived safley in Maine I promised her I would take care of her always, she would never go without. Well this last week has been a trying one. She has been very sick, and after a costly ER visit and an all day stay at her RDVM and then follow up bloodwork i'm working on 1000.00 in just this week. She collasped and was unresponsive so I rushed her to the animal ER where they did blood work and Xrays, her Xrays were fine, but her blood work was terrible. Her PCV was in the high 80's (a nomal dog runs in the 40's) they had to drian some of her blood and replace it with fluids. Her heart was unable to pump her blood because it was so think, and she was not getting any oxygen. She had to stay the night on fluids and be monitored. They believe the condition she has is called POLYCYTHEMIA.

 I've never asked for help, usually I give the help.  Her vet is still unsure and wants to do more diagnostics, which means more money, and at this point I'm just all out. I'm asking all friends and family, If you can it would mean more then I could every express. if you can't we understand and simply ask you just pass this along to as many as you can.
