Campaign Story
Greetings All!!
First of all, thanks for stopping by, and making an effort to read my jumbled thoughts in print!
Now for why you're here, I, like many of you, have worked with so many wonderfully amazing people for several seasons, and at multiple locales (seriously though we're all like two former co-workers away from having worked with each other). Over those years, I've seen many people I care about in my extended "family" succumb to illness, and it's really quite disheartening.
Recently, I've had quite a few members of said "family", fall ill, and I wanted to explore what I could do to help them. I'm not religious, nor do I have a lot of money, but I am creative, so I wracked my brain as to what I could do to help. Eventually I found my muse, and designed an enamel (Hibiscus*) pin, to celebrate the source of our bond (much like the ones some companies may, oh...I don't know, give out at the end of every year celebrating a certain parade of sorts hypothetically speaking), but also to generate funds for those in need. #mindblown
The concept is simple, make a donation and you'll receive a pin, unless you don't choose the reward in which I say in advance: "awwwww...thanks!!!"
My goal here is to raise some funds for those in need, and hopefully if the goal is reached (selling all the pins), or exceeds it, the funds can be shared with multiple parties. Currently I capped the 'rewards' at 100, but if they are depleted, and there is still interest, I can have more made.
The plan at this time for the donations, is to disperse them as evenly as possible (depending on their individual need), among multiple parties. I left the campaign open ended in hopes that it performs well, and donations can be shared with many others.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, but I may or may not have the answer!!! ;0)
Feel free to share this with others as well!!!
Thanks,
Mike
*image above is the actual concept design using the manufacturers requested color palettes. It looks extremely saturated here, and the outer rim will be rose gold, not the mustard color above (manufacturer's request as well). The pins will be ordered and manufactured once I receive enough backers to fund their production, and I'll update the campaign when that happens.
