We know Lauren would never ask for help so we are doing it for her! 18 months ago, without warning Michael had a brain aneurysm burst resulting in a grade 4 bleed. Doctors didn't expect him to survive BUT HE DID! And he continues to make slow but steady progress towards recovery.  Michael has been using a wheelchair taxi as his transportation to attend various specialist appointments all over Melbourne, come home for visits and go on social outings but the cost has become too much for Lauren to afford. Using their savings, originally set aside to assist them in the future with Lauren's Juvenile Parkinson's Disease she plans to buy a vehicle to transport Michael.

Update: Lauren has been told that Michael and his wheelchair will only fit in a converted Kia Carnival & has been advised to only buy 2006 onwards due to known engine problems, which could bring the cost of vehicle up to $50, 000, thus our change from $33,000. A Kia Carnival will still be a more cost effective option to transport Michael & will allow them to go out as a family as there is room for Audrey's & Ava's baby seats alongside the wheelchair, with space for another adult as well.

This is where you, Michael's family and friends come in. We have set up this funding page which will be open for a short while. We're asking for donations to help offset this cost. No matter how much you donate, it will make a big difference in Michael's recovery. Please spread the word through Facebook, Twitter, emails etc. to everyone you know. We're hoping each person will invite new people to read & watch the video. Maybe then even strangers will join Michael's family & friends & donate to this special cause.
