My name is Andre and you may be aware that I have been training to become a pilot and obtain a private pilots licence. Further to which I will be building hours to then further my career and obtain a Commercial licence. What you may not be aware of is that the Air Ambulance is a charity close to my heart after an accident a few years ago where I needed their help.
I need to raise £3000 to finish my training so, of the £5000 and more raised, the extra funds will go towards the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance. However, if I do not reach this £5k target then 30% of any funds raised will be sent to the charity.
I would like to offer something back to a few that have donated so I will pick 20 people at random that have donated in excess of £30 to take up for a 30 minute flight (worth £87) to help build my hours once I have obtained the licence. (Terms and conditions apply). Another 10 randomly picked donors(of any amount) will get a piece of Essex Air Ambulance merchandise.
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EAA) Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) is a life saving charity that has no government funding and is run by charitable donations alone. Each mission is around £2700 and it costs around £500'000 per month to keep both helicopters flying. So any donation to help keep them running is beneficial to everyone. They are based in Earls Colne near Colchester and no more than 8 minutes flight time to the nearest hospital.
