Vision and Calling

Acts 1 vs 8: “…. You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, (your city) Judea, Samaria to the ends of the Earth…… “

Pieter and Mari have a burden in their hearts to reach ALL Nations with the love of Christ. Making disciples and teaching them.

Working alongside Indigenous leaders in Swaziland so the church can grow wide as well as deep.

Expose the Swazi church to Missions through Cross Cultural Training - change their World View – giving them a World Perspective

Mobilise the Swazi church to reach out beyond their own borders by facilitating Kairos courses throughout Swaziland and neighbouring countries.

Building partnerships between the Swazi church and Mission Organizations globally; connect Indigenous Christian leaders in Swaziland with Indigenous Christian leaders in neighbouring African countries.

Swaziland to be a spring board for missions …… sending missionaries into the rest of Africa.

Our Obedience to the Call

2007 Pieter surrendered his life to Jesus

2008 Mari, a rebellious Missionary Kid, rededicated her life to Christ

2009 – 2011 Served as missionaries in Mozambique to the Shangaan people

2012 Pieter and Mari did a one year Certificate Course in Missions at Africa School of Missions (ASM)

2013 Mari : One Year Auxiliary Training Course in Nursing at ASM

Pieter: Serving at ASM in the Maintenance Department

2014 Whilst still serving at ASM, Pieter enrolled at Hebron Theological College and started with his B.Th Degree

2014 – current Preparing to go into Swaziland to serve the Swati people, equipping them to reach their own people with the Gospel as well as reaching across their borders.

Serving as Missionaries in Mozambique

Mari speaks and understands Shangaan . Pieter understands Shangaan. They were involved in:

Feeding Projects
Pre-School
Training of Pre-School teachers
Church Planting
Children and Youth Ministry
“First Aid”
Preaching the Word
Skills Development i.e. Woodwork; Leather making; Baking; Sewing;
Caring for the Needy

Serving as Missionaries in Swaziland

Pieter and Mari have over time built strong and lasting relationships with Indigenous Christian Leaders in Swaziland. Mari speaks and understands Swati. Pieter understands Swati a little bit and is still learning.

They will be involved in similar ministry as in Mozambique but with an emphasis on reaching out to the nations – cross cultural missions. Inspiring hope, encouraging change, influencing and mobilizing the Swazi people to become a Sending nation.

Pieter will empower the Youth through Technology – computer literacy; Skills development and training.

Mari will train Preschool Teachers; Train the volunteers to do home based care.

They will assist Missionary Ventures in overseeing projects.

Implement and teach simple accounting practices for the Feeding Centers; Food Gardens; Sewing Schools; Pre-Schools; Teachers’ Training schedules.

Equipping the Swazis in Administration of Donor’s funds; imparting the importance of accountability and transparency of donor funds.

Train short term mission teams.

Partner with individuals and churches in SA and abroad to send short term mission teams.

Empower, equip, resource and encourage national churches to impact the nations by cross cultural missions – reaching out to neighboring countries.

Coordinate the logistics of an outreach e.g. accommodation, meals, transport, ministry program.

Lead and host local and international teams visiting Swaziland on mission trip.

Give teams the opportunity and joy of participating fully in the high calling of Matthew 28:19

Our need for partners in Ministry

1 Corinthians 12:27 “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”

Vs 21 “The eye can never say to the hand, I don’t need you.”

The vision and call which we have responded to is the heart of God for the Nations of the world

and for His church. As a family, we responded to devote our lives in obedience to this call. But, we

realize our dependence on the “Body of Christ” to be effective in our service.

OUR NEED FOR PRAYER PARTNERS

Ephesians 6:12 “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and

authorities of the unseen world …”

We are trusting our Father for 30 prayer partners who would commit themselves to cover us as a

family in prayer (1 day per month). We also get discouraged, often experience weakness or need

clear guidance and wisdom from God in our ministry. We need friends to encourage us to continue

and celebrate with us the victories in Christ.

OUR NEED FOR FINANCIAL PARTNERS

1 Timothy 3:5 (Leaders in the Church) “He must manage his own family well, having children who

respect and obey him.”

As a Christian leader it is my heart to be wise and responsible in managing our family, also when it

comes to finances.

We trust in God as our provider and most often he uses the obedience of His children as instruments

of provision. We are therefore trusting our Father for Financial partners for committed monthly

support to make our ministry with Missionary Ventures possible.
