Last year ended with horrific news coming out of Syria and Allepos with many having to flee their homes in the search of safety in neighboring countries as refugees. It is hard to imagine from our comfy couch here in Australia that there are others in the world choosing a dangerous trek, often in a beat up boat and rough seas, over the horrors that now surround their couch. For me, knowing what was going on and not being able to help, was unbelievably frustrating. I had donated in the past but after last year I developed a drive to do more! So I AM!
As part of a group with other practitioners we are volunteering our time and skills to help those in refugee camps in Greece. To bring hope and be a beacon of light for those who are going through times of unimaginable darkness. But we need support to get to the camps as well as funding to help buy supplies when we are there and this is where your gracious kindness can help. We will be supporting lactating mothers so that they don’t have to buy expensive formulas, providing nutrition for pregnant women and their unborn babies, assisting in basic human needs such as blankets, food and clean water along with whatever else comes our way during this time.
I once heard a pretty incredible quote that stuck with me… “We
can’t do everything, but we must do something.” So that’s what I am doing. I am
doing what I can with what I know, and with your support we can make a
difference in the lives some of these people. If you can't donate, please share and help raise awareness. Be the hope and light that we wish to
see in the world.
