Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

The man above is my 61-year old father Marino Barcoso Sr. Due to dire poverty, Papa never graduated elementary school, causing him to not have a high-paying job. In spite of our hard-up situation here in the Philippines, Papa has managed to put food on our table through his driving and construction-related endeavors. He has been a hard-working provider to my mom and to us (four children) all these years.

Papa Naring as we call him, is now a retired truck driver. Nonetheless, he still keeps himself active with all sorts of household chores. Unfortunately, he hurt his lower back causing trauma to one vertebrae. As a result, he has not been able to walk properly and without pain, for nearly two weeks now. He has numbness in his right leg as well as ‘pins and needles’ from his spine down. Upon the first treatment, his pain was rated 10/10.

Papa Naring’s RECOMMENDED TREATMENT is a non-invasive physical therapy. His rehabilitation needs to be done while there is still a chance for him to walk again without pain and difficulty. We want to raise funds to help Papa get rehabilitated as soon as possible and support his maintenance needs in the next 3-6 months. The funds will also help him keep up with the necessary supplements his body need to fully recover.

To those of you who are reading this post, I’m knocking at your kind heart for help.

We need approximately 2,100 USD. We will need at least 200 USD for Papa Naring to start his physical therapy 2 days from now.
