Photography Fundraiser

Hi everyone,

I'm Carol and I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself and my fundraising idea.

Over many, many years I have suffered from severe agoraphobia and debilitating panic attacks which affected my entire life. Normal education finished for me at 12, I never attended school again. I was fortunate to recieve a home tutor from the local education authority until I reached 16.

I was totally housebound for over ten years, never even venturing into the garden. It was a living hell.

My parents, my father is now deceased, devoted their lives to helping me overcome my 'problem'.

With their patience, and help, over time the situation began to improve. Today, over forty years later, I have learnt to (almost) control the agoraphobia and panic attacks. 

One of the 'things' which has helped me through the situation is - photography.

I would adore to do some serious nature/wildlife photography, perhaps volunteering my services to a nearby charity or taking photographs which a charity could use on a calendar, cards, promotional material, etc. 

However, I simply don’t have the gear for it. I have a decent digital SLR and some basic lenses. What I (desperately) need is a long telephoto lens.

So, here I am with my funding page to see if folks would be interested in donating a little to help me to take the photographs I really WANT to take in the future!  
 

If you have the means, and would like to help, it would be greatly appreciated.  If you can’t, please don’t worry about it. I hope there's an opportunity to post some examples of my work on this page, if not perhaps I'll start a blog? It would be interesting for me know what you think.
