Phillip Fish

On 14 September, I will cycle from London to Brighton to raise funds for The Black Fish. While not the most arduous of physical tasks, I am only just recovering from a knee injury and have not done a lot of endurance activity in a while. So there should be a fair bit of suffering involved. The Black Fish are an organisation which deals with the issue of overfishing on a number of levels. It provides education on issues from depletion of fishstocks and loss of biodiversity through to the impact of industrial fishing on coastal communities. It also conducts fieldwork, running investigations into illegal fishing practices throughout the whole of Europe and sharing their findings with enforcement agencies and environmental lawyers.
